The Ambassador of Namibia to China has stated that preparations are well underway for the upcoming Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Elia Kaiyamo expresses Namibia's desire to continue nurturing its relationship with China for the benefit of both countries.

Namibia will be joining other African nations in China for the ninth forum.

Kaiyamo emphasizes that Namibia has greatly benefited from this forum since its establishment and aims to further enhance cooperation for the sake of shared prosperity. He states, "Namibia has been a steadfast member of this forum. This time, it will be the ninth forum of this cooperative partnership in Namibia, which will be represented by our head of state. Namibia will be among the African leaders attending this forum. We have reaped numerous benefits from this forum over the years, resulting in mutually advantageous situations. We strive to continue benefiting, which is why we are here and why we are committed to contributing to this forum."

Notably, young people will also play a significant role in the discussions.

The ambassador underscores the importance of involving youth in FOCAC, stating, "This is an opportunity for us to amplify the voices of young people through FOCAC. Let us collaborate with China and work together as Africans to effectively present our case to the forum, ensuring that it benefits all our people. The youth, in particular, is a major and crucial topic, well-deserving of attention and focus in this part of the world, specifically within the China Forum."

The forum is scheduled to commence on September 4th in Beijing, China.
