#ELECTIONRESULTS | The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) today presented results from 31 constituencies for the presidential election and 24 in the National Assembly election bringing the total percentage of constituencies counted, to 63 and 56 respectively.
The race for the top five positions in both Presidential and National Assembly elections remains competitive as verification and certification of remaining constituencies continue.
Results retrieved from ECN's website at around 18:00 show Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah of the Swapo Party continues to lead the Presidential race with 54.19% of the votes counted so far.
Panduleni Itula of IPC followed with 27.61%, and Bernardus Swartbooi of LPM stands third with 6.34% of the vote.
McHenry Venaani of PDM is in fourth place with 4.66 percent while Job Amupanda of AR rounds off the top five with 1.87%.
In the National Assembly race, the Swapo Party still leads with 53.14%, then IPC at 19.25% of the vote, LPM at 6.42%, and AR at 6.26%. while PDM received 5.03%
