The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) conducted a stakeholder engagement session to prepare for and outline the way forward for the upcoming electoral cycle.

Responding to concerns raised by representatives of churches and civil society organisations about the state of readiness of the Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections in November, the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) said it is well on track with the preparations.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi has urged young people to register and participate in the 25th of November's Local Authorities and Regional Councils elections.

The supplementary registration runs from the 4th to the 19th of August.
