Erongo Regional Chairperson of the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), Aloisus Kangulu, has cautioned that corruption continues to widen the gap between the rich and the poor, depriving ordinary Namibians of essential public services.

Kangulu was speaking at the party's high-level meeting at Usakos.

The meeting focused on developing practical, sustainable strategies to renew, rebuild, and strengthen the party's local structures to fulfill its constitutional obligations.

In his address, Kangulu touched on corruption, which he said is depriving the masses of a livelihood, arguing that even medicine shortages in state facilities are a direct consequence of it.

He said the majority of Namibians live below the poverty line, attributed to unemployment and inadequate housing. These disparities undermine the dignity and aspirations of the Namibian people, and Kangulu called on the government to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

Kangulu said IPC remains committed to challenging laws and policies it believes do not serve the interests of all Namibians.

He added that the party would continue advocating for reforms aimed at improving service delivery, creating jobs and ensuring equal opportunities for all citizens.
