The Governor of ||Kharas Region, Dawid Gertze has embarked on visits to constituencies in the region aimed at enhancing quality service delivery and fostering trust and confidence in the government.
  
The governor's first stop was in the Karasburg East Constituency, where he engaged with residents of the Ariamsvlei settlement.

Gertze explained. “I want us to have a very direct and robust discussion. When we were meeting, I spoke to the leadership, and I told them that we as leaders must come to a point where we start learning that when people raise issues, we do not take it personally. But we take it as issues raised with a particular office that you are serving. But he would also warn us to take note that respect and discipline will not deny you the right to speak up about what concerns you.”
 
 Gertze further encouraged youth to take part in government empowerment programmes to improve their future prospects.
 
“Those days of just endless cries are over. This government is providing so many opportunities that we fail to grab. This government is also creating a conducive environment for us to start thinking and become proactive in getting us to the point where we want to be.”
