Led by National Council member Emma Muteka, who also serves as Secretary General of the Tukwatha Youth Organization, the event aims to highlight the importance of collective action in creating a cleaner and safer environment.

Successful progress in civil registration outreach Programme in Zambezi Region

The civil registration for birth certificates and identity cards in the Zambezi Region is progressing well and has yielded positive results, especially for those who would not have any other means to reach the offices.

The civil registration outreach programme started in February and will continue until June unless there is a need to revisit certain areas that were not fully covered.

LPM discusses developmental challenges at Witvlei

The Operative Secretary of the Landless People's Movement (LPM), Dawid Eigub, says there is a need for the party to connect with all its members and establish the developmental challenges they face.

Eigub made the remark after an engagement with the community of Witvlei in the Okorukambe constituency.

Eigub stated that it's high time that the dignity of the people is restored by bringing development to them and contributing meaningfully to the country's economy. 

Police engage community at Oshakati

The Police Inspector General, Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, emphasised the importance of striving towards a crime-free Namibia for the benefit of both citizens and visitors.

Lieutenant General Shikongo says a crime-free environment attracts investors, leading to economic growth and the creation of numerous opportunities, such as job creation.

Speaking at a community engagement session at Oshakati, Lieutenant General Shikongo recognised the community as a strong pillar in the fight against crime.
