Housing provision, socioeconomic aspects and agriculture, amongst others, were at the top of the agenda of issues discussed during the engagement between the Omaheke regional leadership, various heads of departments and Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila at Gobabis.

Omaheke Regional Governor Pijoo Nganate welcomed the initiative taken by the Prime Minister to engage the regional heads and provide updates on issues relating to development.

Kuugongelwa-Amadhila pointed out that despite the challenges raised by the regional leaders, she is impressed by the unity and cooperation amongst them.

She assured the Omaheke leadership team that the central government is fully committed to assisting with regional development.

After the engagement, the Prime Minister witnessed food distribution by the Gobabis constituency to residents and also visited some of the ongoing projects around Gobabis.
