The long wait for the return of top-flight league football in the country is over, after the Namibia Football Association's Normalisation Committee announced the opening fixtures of the Namibia Premier Football League on Wednesday.

As per the just-announced fixtures, there won't be any matches on Friday, the 4th of November as previously announced. The opening matches will only start on Saturday, the 5th of November at Walvisbay, Okahandja, Windhoek and Otjiwarongo.

Namibia's Under-23 football team was defeated 6-nil by Angola in the second leg of their CAF Championship qualifier match played in Luanda Saturday.
