Cabinet has approved several Memoranda of Understanding between Namibia and Botswana, covering various sectors including energy, education, and health.

Namibia and Botswana have signed a series of agreements aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation, following the conclusion of the second session of the Bi-National Commission (BNC).

The Second Session of the Botswana-Namibia Bi-National Commission (BNC) convened in Windhoek on Monday. 

Namibia and Botswana are to sign an agreement on research, science, and technology during the second Bi-National Commission, which will be co-chaired by the two nations' presidents this week.

Namibia and Botswana are set to review progress across multiple areas of cooperation, including diplomatic, legal, economic, social, and defence and security matters.

Botswana's High Commissioner to Namibia, Phemelo Rankoro, says the duties of a commissioner go beyond diplomacy and include facilitating trade. 

Rankoro made the remarks during a visit to Namibia's textile company, Dinapama.

The University of Namibia (UNAM) launched the Perivoli Schools Trust Early Child Care, or PST Education Model, programme in collaboration with the University of Bristol in the UK.
