Concerned community members of Oranjemund on Friday protested at the Magistrates Court, opposing the granting of bail to a father who allegedly raped his 14-year-old daughter since she was 8. 

Lawyer Sisa Namandje, representing former Environment Minister Pohamba Shifeta, has written to the Inspector General of the Namibian Police, Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, demanding an investigation into what they claim are false rape allegations and the unlawful leaking of police information to the media.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested in the Omusati Region after allegedly raping three minor boys.
