With just hours to go before the crowning of Miss Teen 2024, the venue at the Luderitz Waterfront has been transformed into a spectacle of glamour and sophistication.

Miss Teen hopefuls will grace this evening ahead of Miss Namibia tomorrow.

The event promises to captivate audiences, celebrating not only the beauty of the contestants but also their intellect and compassion.

The nbc has full ownership of the Miss Namibia brand.

nbc Director General Stanley Similo explained the importance of hosting the event in the ||Kharas Region.

"The genesis of us being here actually has its roots in the last Miss Teen and Miss Namibia pageants held in Swakopmund. You'll recall that at that stage I asked if there were entities outside Swakop and Windhoek interested in hosting the event and that they should get in touch with us. I must also say by luck that Mr. Fluksman Samuehl, who is CEO of the LWDC entity, immediately came and said, 'DG, we are taking this thing'. I said, 'Well, Mr. Fluksman, just put in black and white'. And even before I got back to Windhoek, the letter was in my mail. So that's how the whole process started going."

Similo thanked all those who contributed to the hosting of the event.

"If it were not for them, we would have struggled to host the event. So when we take them and put them together, they make this for us to appear easy."

Miss Namibia CEO Umbi Karuaihe-Upi says it is all systems go for the spectacular beauty pageant grand finale.

"We are absolutely ready, and we are so happy that this year, once again, we are going to give Namibians another spectacular event."

For Luderitz, hosting Miss Namibia means the town can host national and international events of significance.

The events will be broadcast live on all nbc platforms.
