FIFA-accredited referee Peter Amutenya says that, although he faced challenges in 2024, he is looking ahead to 2025 with renewed hope.

Since developing his love for football at the age of 11, Peter Ichipo Amutenya played street soccer to further hone his skills in the sport.

He took on the sport during his schooling days, and it was there that his dream of football officiating was realized.

Amutenya highlighted the challenges faced by many like himself in the football sector and how they overcame them.

He will be serving in his new role as a FIFA-accredited referee in 2025.

The football season will be back in action on January 18, with Ongos and Blue Boys, and Tigers and Blue Waters kicking off the season.
