The government has launched a One-Stop Service Centre, described as a "red carpet experience", aimed at improving service delivery and making it easier for citizens, entrepreneurs and investors to access government services.

The centre, established under the Office of the Prime Minister, brings together 12 institutions under one roof, offering services such as business registration, tax registration, social security registration, work permits and investment facilitation.

The One-Stop Service Centre marks a major milestone in Namibia's public sector reforms, tackling fragmented service delivery and long processing times.

Executive Director in the Office of the Prime Minister Petrus Sindimba, explained.

“This achievement reflects the government's commitment to creating a more efficient, responsive and business-friendly public sector. The centre is expected to reduce turnaround times, improve customer satisfaction, strengthen institutional coordination and contribute to Namibia's competitiveness as an investment destination.”

The centre has already recorded about 3,500 client interactions.

“I am confident that through continuous cooperation and innovation, the One-Stop Service Centre will serve as a "flashy" model for public service excellency and a catalyst for economic growth and development,” added Sindimba.
