In the Kavango East Region, 160 young people are participating in a one-week business training programme held at the Frans Dimbare Youth Skills Training Centre in the Mukwe Constituency.

The training serves as a crucial stepping stone in the ongoing efforts to combat high youth unemployment.

The Kavango East Regional Council has organised a business training programme aimed at equipping and empowering youth with essential tools and strategies to foster entrepreneurial thinking.

The unemployment rate in Kavango East is recorded at more than 60%.

The Minister of Sports, Youth, and National Service, Agnes Tjongarero, has encouraged young people to aspire towards entrepreneurship as a solution to addressing the high rate of youth unemployment.

Spearheaded by the Begin To Imagine (BTI) youth group, the Expo is the first to be hosted by Bethanie Village.

Tjongarero made the call during the opening of the Expo at Bethanie Village in ||Kharas Region, where she pledged N$20 000 towards the hosting of the Expo.
