President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has expressed concern regarding the resurgence of cholera in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.

Last month, Namibia reported a confirmed case of cholera in Opuwo, marking the first occurrence in over a decade.

A two-day-old baby in Opuwo had luck on her side on Wednesday evening when a passerby heard her desperate cry in the dark.

The project, which includes 362 houses, was launched under the leadership of former President Hifikepunye Pohamba in 2013.
