Swapo Party Member of Parliament and leader assigned to the Kunene Region, Bernadette Jagger, says the continued strides in welcoming new and returning members are an indication there is trust for the party to continue leading and serving the nation.
Jagger shared these sentiments during an address at a mini-party rally at Kamanjab Settlement in Kunene Region over the weekend.
"Those who left the party, we are happy that they come back, because after they left our party they went to other parties, they realize this is definitely not the party where I belong and come back to our offices one by one on a daily basis and say comrades we want to come back or new one saying comrades I want to join Swapo Party. and we are happy we will receive them, we will embrace them because they are our brothers and sisters. Swapo Party is home to every single Namibian in this country Omake."
Jagger stressed there was a need for Kamanjab to be awarded town council status because of its level of development.
"It is a fast growing town. it has all the necessary infrastructure, and there is no other way then to take it further from this platform, as I tell you today that before 2025 Kamanjab Village council must become Kamanjab town council."
At the event, the Swapo Party awarded certificates of appreciation to businesses that continue to support the party's endeavours.
