In a jubilant celebration of 75 years of commitment to empowering learners and shaping future leaders, Dr. Lemmer High School marked this milestone with the Nedbank Relay Championship competition.

The event was filled with various activities, including the 100, 200, and 400-metre runs. 

Teachers and learners from schools as far as the Namakwa Region in South Africa joined the celebration, highlighting the school's impact beyond its immediate community.

The occasion was also marked by a toast to the school's achievements over the years, with teachers raising their glasses high in celebration.

Five schools, namely Dr. Lemmer High School, M&K Gertze High School, Anes Senior Secondary School, Rehoboth High School, and Beukes Primary School, participated in the competition.

Athletes who excelled in the competition, coming in first, second, and third place, received gold, silver, and bronze medals, respectively.

The principal of Dr. Lemmer High School, Elwin Meintjies, expressed pride in the school's continuous growth and success.

The Relay Championship competition, a first of its kind, was sponsored by Nedbank, highlighting the importance of partnerships in supporting educational initiatives and celebrating achievements in the education sector.
