The Mayor of Swakopmund, Blasius Goraseb, has praised the town's rising profile as Namibia's hub for sports tourism.

!Goraseb warned that the town is rapidly running out of prime coastal property to accommodate growing investment interest.

Swakopmund's Mayor, Blasius Goraseb, unveiled the town's theme for 2025, which centres around empowerment. 

The theme, Goraseb, says reflects the town's commitment to strengthening its community and economy through initiatives that focus on education, skills development, and inclusivity.

Swakopmund remains a favourite holiday destination for both locals and international tourists, and the town is once again geared to attract hundreds of visitors.

It is against this backdrop that the municipality and the Special Reserve Forces aim to ensure that everyone remains safe.

There is an urgent need to mobilize resources for the Namibia Institute of Mining and Technology, NIMT, to accommodate more students.
